Rotary Riverside Park
Brainerd Rotary acquired 38 acres of land  and 1,400 feet of Mississippi River frontage that is located in the City of Brainerd and donated it to the City for use as a Park.

We envision it not being a highly developed park.  We are working with Riverside Revitalization groups, governmental agencies, including the DNR and Nature Conversancy, in order to obtain grants and realize the "best fit" trail corridor to connect to existing trail systems in the vicinity.  The City is also eligible to apply and receive a federal park planning grant focused on planning a 7.5 mile Mississippi River natural trail which would go through the Park across the Brainerd-Baxter area.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Brainerd Rotary clubs hosts a community Easter egg hunt annually.
Rotarians, local Interact and Rotaract Members bag candy and hide thousands of Easter eggs.  Last year we filled over 550 bags with candy in anticipation of children 2 to 9 years old arriving for the annual hunt.  All remaining candy was taken by the Easter Bunny to the local woman's shelter, PORT group home for boys and girls, four local nursing homes and one group home.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

It is amazing to see the amount of generosity and holiday cheer while ringing bells! Brainerd Rotarians volunteer their time the first Saturday in December every year to ring bells for the salvation army.

PEACH SALES

Peach sale contributions invest in humanitarian projects.  In partnership with several Rotary Clubs around the world our club will provide much needed primary care to persons in need.  Over the past years our club was able to build two, public, secondary schools on the central plateau region of Haiti so that 800 students in that region are able to continue their education beyond the 6th grade without leaving their families. We provided a butterfly ultrasound machine to doctors in Honduras to give adequate medical care to those in need.
