Braver Angels - Ed Marek and Bruce Morlan

Becoming Braver Angels - Depolarizing the United States

"I do not like that man. I must get to know him better." Abraham Lincoln

Ed and Bruce spoke about polarization and building bridges across the partisan divide. Braver Angels believes if we talk to eachother, we have more in common than we think. Braver Angels pledges that as individuals, they try to understand the other side's point of view even if they don't agree with it. They engage those they disagree with, looking for common ground and ways to work together. They strive to be an organization that reflects the country they are serving.

Braver Angels' goal is not to change people's views on issues but to change their views of each other. They accomplish this with three workshops: Depolarizing Within; Disagreeing Better; and Debates. They also have book clubs, movie clubs, and workshops designed to address local issues.
