Heather Kelm explained that Rotary peach orders were submitted to the growers but we will sell single layer peaches at the door. There are still a limited number of double layers that can be purchased online but and orders will be processed in the order they are received until they run out. All proceeds raised from this peach sale fund international humanitarian projects in 3rd world countries. For 2023 and 2024 our club’s focus is on Cambodia. Please support this fundraiser by purchasing peaches today and/or contributing a financial gift to improve the lives of rural Cambodian children one village at a time.

He's worked at Adult and Teen Challenge and said he is filled with hope. Presently he's ministering to young people about the dangers of drugs through his role as executive director of the Lakes Area Justice Project.
Speaker: Adam Rees and Paula Chapulis shared thoughts and opportunities gathered from this years district conference. Recently Bob McLean, Buford Johnson, Donn Peterson, Lynn Hunt, Paula Chapulis, Pete Nelson met with Adam resulting in this presentation.
Three club improvement opportunities were discussed:
The Rotary brand is “service” not “fundraisers, meetings, and presentations”. Promote/Publicize service activities.
Grow membership through lower cost, different meeting times, extension/satellite clubs
Develop a metric measuring impact of club service activities/projects (an outcome metric capturing the big picture)
The conference brought in Dr. Jermaine Davis to teach Diversity Equity and Inclusion. He defined terms and stated “equity" means same as fairness/justice. Adam shared that unfortunately public leaders at the state and national level use different definitions of equity such as “equality in outcomes” which he believes is not consistent with Rotary values. This country was founded on the principal of “meritocracy” which is a society in which people get success or power because of their abilities, not because of their money or social position. Outcomes equality appears inconsitent with a meritocracy.
Other interesting thoughts were shared like the Old Indian Proverb, “Listen or your tongue will keep you deaf”. Lastly a discussion on the 3 opportunities followed including the concept of mapping our impact and tactics to attract younger new members.
