Paula Chapulis chaired the meeting. Allie announced that May 16, 2024 is our fundraiser event. Paula reminded us to update emails so that all members receive timely communication and our weekly bulletins. Please go online and correct it or reach out to Allie and she'll fix it.
Anthony raffled off rotary socks for $10 to Allie and Paula got the rotary stocking cap $25.
Carl Sneep is this months rotary notary. He was raised in Brainerd, went to Boston College and played hockey and in 2018 moved back to the area for banking. Two years ago he became president of Neighborhood National Bank.
Adam Rees asked everyone to hold June 25, 2024 for the club's annual Change of Gavel event to be held at Cragun's Golf Resort Pavilion.
Please remember we have a Club Rotary Visioning Retreat on March 20th, 4:30PM to 8:30PM. A survey was sent on 1-23-2024 to club members by email and Paula reminded us that the survey must be completed by Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

Speaker: David Winkelman & Simon Eddy - Solar power update 2024. They are proud of the 12 Saint Cloud properties with solar power. David was a builder for many years and now owns Winkelman solar. They use installers from all over the state. He stated that there is plenty of sun in MN with lots of benefits and prices dropped 5 fold. Simon Eddy is an installer for Wolf Track Energy. They have 20 employees and serve areas between Two harbors and Backus MN. Simon shared the proposed rotary pavilion solar system producing annual power of 10,328 kWh. Q and A followed.
