Paula Chapulis: Brighter Days Grief Center sent an email asking for volunteers for Camp Journey. They are looking for crew to help set up and volunteers to facilitate groups. Shifts are 8:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m on September 14th. They are also in need of some volunteers to help unload equipment at 3pm on September 13th. Camp Journey is a day camp this year and they are also looking for assistance sponsoring families. Way you can help is sponsoring projects like tie blankets, snack bags, art supplies, etc. Some families want to stay for the weekend so additional assistance may be needed to help facilitate meal voucher coupons/gift cards, and overnight accommodations. Please reach out to Paula Chapulis if you are able to help in this manner.
Donn Peterson: Please keep Jill Casper and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Jill's husband, Troy, passed away last weekend. A private celebration of Troy's life will be held in the future for those that knew him well.
Marc Halverson: Announced Music in the Park is at Gregory Park on Thursday. Proceeds to benefit Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge.
Sargeant at Arms: Ed Menk fined those of was us who failed to vote in the primary today. The club failed spectacularly at answering Ed's trivia questions.

Nick Broyles - Brainerd City Administrator
Nick grew up in Fergus Falls playing hockey and tennis. He retired from the Air Force in 2012. He and his wife have five grown children. He spends his free time engaging in outdoor activities like kayaking and biking. He and his wife are very active in their church.
Nick is our new Brainerd City Administrator. He gave an overview of the City of Brainerd Departments. The City has 125 full-time employees, 40 paid on-call firefighters, 5 part-time employees, and 50 temporary/seasonal workers.
He updated the Club on the Public Utilities Department. A new Public Utilities director will be starting soon and replacing the interim director. Brainerd Public Utilities serves 6,875 residential customers and 1,361 commercial customers. There has not been a strike. Another mediation session is scheduled for this Friday.
Nick answered questions from the Club and encouraged members to bring ideas to his attention that are in the best interest of the citizens of Brainerd.
