Rotary Announcements
Adam Rees: Adam won't be at our meeting next week. He will be in Salt Lake City to discuss a medical mission to Cambodia. Michelle Francis will chair the meeting in his absence.
Buford Johnson: Thursday, October 24th is World Polio Day. The Rotary International Foundation is seeking contributions for PolioPlus. Buford would like everyone to contribute to the PolioPlus effort. You can donate online using this link:

Sergeant at Arms
Andy Rangen fined everyone that has not yet made their PolioPlus donation. He fined club members that traveled for MEA and those that watched the entire Vikings game.

Kara Terry and Talia Brodhead - Crow Wing County BLADE (Brainerd Lakes Area Drug Education)
BLADE began in 2018 and is made up of individuals from a variety of sectors in Crow Wing County. They are community members, persons with lived experience, family members, service providers, law enforcement, county employees, and people who care about our community. Their mission is to Prevent Drug Abuse, Protect Our People, and Preserve Our Community. They fulfill this mission by engaging with community members in part, through BLADE work.
BLADE obtained the DRUG FREE COMMUNITY GRANT, which they used to serve over 900 students by presenting a prevention curriculum called Know The Truth. BLADE hopes to educate and empower our youth with the knowledge to make a difference.
BLADE invites you to participate in their National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Cub Foods NE in Brainerd. Bring any unused, expired, or unwanted medication to safely dispose of, no questions asked.
