This Week at Rotary
This week was a Club Meeting week. Andy started the meeting by recognizing member birthdays and anniversaries, followed by the following announcements;
1. District Conference – We need 4 volunteers to help facilitate the sessions and make sure that they are going well. Reach out to Heather if you can help.
2. The Rotary Speakeasy date will be Jan 14th, save the date!
3. Ditch Pickup will be in 3 weeks, most likely Oct 5th.
4. Strive is planning to meet on Tuesdays during the school year.
5. Oct 24th there will be a Polio walk in , hosted by our club and possibly some other area clubs. If you’re interested in helping with this please talk to Heather.
Pine’s Pints for a purpose events. Plan for 430pm and very informal gathering. The first one is tomorrow, Sept 16th and will be to support Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity (our program from last week)!
Brad Chapulis stopped by from Morning Rotary and they are currently selling roses.
The group then spent time in table breakout groups working on solutions to different Rotary challenges ranging from recruiting, events, and fundraising. Each table presented on it's topic and provided insights back to the group.
Upcoming Dates to Watch
The Club has brought back Rotary Socials! For Rotary Socials we are planning to have Rotarians represent our club, and Rotary in general, at Jack Pine’s Pints for a purpose events. Plan for 4:30pm and a very informal gathering. The first one is Sept 16th and will be to support Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity (our program from last
week)!
