Announcements from 08.27.2024 meeting:
President Adam Rees chaired the meeting.

Rotary Announcements:
Adam Rees: Announced two perspective members: Bob Gragson and Keith Binggeli. If you have any concerns with these two perspective members, please see Adam or Todd Bymark.

Jeff Birks: Today is the very last day to get your peaches. Please go pick up your peaches at Baxter Cashwise today. We do have some extras to sell.

Paula Chapulis: Presented a new member golf shirt to Travis Grossman. The golf shirts were a new member gift from the district last year.

Buford Johnson: A polio outbreak was just discovered in Gaza. Polio has been found in Afgahnistan, Pakistan, and now Gaza. There will be a request for PolioPlus donations in October. Buford will be asking each club member to donate $25.00 to this effort. To learn more about PolioPlus, please visit this link.

Adam Rees: Gave an update from the Board meeting. Eric Charpentier was voted in as chair of the Youth and New Generations Committee. The board accepted the resignation of David Schaeffer. The board also spent some time on stratigic planning. Finally, the Change of Gavel is scheduled for June 17, 2025, at Cragun's. Please reserve that date on your calendars.

Jesse Hopkins: We will not have an inbound exchange student this year. The exchange student that was inbound is no longer coming. We will try again next year.

Teresa Goble: Presented a $500.00 donation to the foundation board. This was a donation in her name from the MMFCU Board of Directors for all Teresa's years of service.

Sergeant at Arms: Aaron Antony fined everyone that watched the Olympics. In honor of the NHRA Nationals at BIR, Aaron fined anyone that has received a speeding ticket in the last 3 years, which seemed fair. Lastly, today was Aaron's anniversary. Anyone that didn't know that got fined, which seemed quite unfair!
