Club Meeting - Adam Rees
Today's program was an overview of our club background and activities. Part of our club dues goes to Rotary International. Our club also has it's own foundation. There are some openings on the Foundation Board. If you're interested, please see Julie Anderholm.
When our club was founded the objective was to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.
Adam also went over the opportunities for Rotary International Fellowships. If you're interested please visit this link:
Fellowship.
We still have a few openings on our club org chart. We need a Chaplin, a Club Service Chair, a New Generations Youth Chair, and someone to schedule Rotary Socials.
Buford Johnson spoke about the Rotary International Foundation. The club would like to see 100% of our members contributing to the Rotary International Foundation. Our club has always been a strong supporter of the Polio Plus effort. If you would like to donate to the Rotary International Foundation, please visit this link:
Donate. Make sure you log in before donating so you get credit toward a Paul Harris.
Jeff Birks spoke about Salvation Army Bell Ringing. For many years, our club has been ringing bells for one day each season. It's been easier to fill slots since we increased the time commitment to 1.5 hours.
John Forrest spoke about the need for additional volunteers at Rotary Park. Peter Nelson will be less involved while he's serving as District Governor. The Master Plan for the Park will be added to our web page.
