One clean road and found masterpiece later, Rotarians completed the fall ditch pick. No rain date necessary. Thanks to all of those who came out to help!
Speaker
Matt Russell, Corporate IT Manager and Rotarian, and Courtney DeChaine, Public Education Specialist, came out from CTC to talk about Cybersecurity Awareness month.
They covered the history of the educational month and why it's still as important as ever. Provided updates on the most common types of attacks and just how big the Cybercrime industry is. Matt spoke on how good habits and behavior are still some of the best ways to protect yourself, yet how we need to update our thoughts due to the proliferation of AI. A focus was placed on how AI has sped up cybercrime at a rate we've never seen before and how the cybersecurity industry has adapted.
Courtney highlighted why it's important to CTC that they educate the communities they operate in as they bring connections and digital options those areas may not have had before.
