Paula, our new club president opened meeting and welcomed new members and past district governor Bob McLean. Both the club board and foundation meetings this month were moved back a week, July 18 and 25 (11am to 12noon). Heather reminded everyone to help sell tickets and volunteer for REHT Music Festival. Speaker: Terry Hack, Bret Hack Vasculitis Charity (BHVC)
The Brett Hack Vasculitis Charity is a non-profit organization committed to promoting public awareness of vasculitis, and helping those diagnosed with Vasculitis in finding the resources, information and support they need. Terry lost her son to this disease in 2014 and recently began this charity to make a positive difference in the lives of others. She explained that this is an auto immune disease and left untreated is deadly. Early diagnosis is critical as part of a public awareness campaign she uses bill boards. This month's Club board meeting will be moved from July 18 to July 25 to coincide with the District Governor's visit. The Brainerd Rotary Foundation meeting is also moved one week later to July 18. Anyone is welcome to join.
