BRAINERD ROTARY Haiti Homes

    By the end of this project thirty one homes will have been built in Haiti under this project.  Fifteen homes were built in 2003 and 2004.  Five homes are under construction in 2005.  Money has been collected and the remaining ten homes will be constructed in 2005 and 2006.  Rotary District 5580 became involved and matching money will be used to complete this project. "Happy Homes" are affordable housing ($850 to $2,000) for the poorest families in Pignon with real roofs and walls instead of a leaky straw roof held above the ground with poles.
