BRAINERD ROTARY La Victoire School Inauguration

Late in 2008 three Rotary Clubs (City of Lakes/Minneapolis, Hutchinson and our Brainerd Rotary) along with several other Rotary Clubs raised funds to build a secondary school in La Victoire, Haiti.  Construction began in Spring of 2010 with completion in September 2010, providing classrooms, toilets, a well (to provide safe, clean drinking water) and library to serve approximately 400 students.  Here are some pictures of students and the professor for the La Viktwa school.  The school was inaugurated on Monday, October 11, 2010.  The keys went from the Haiti Outreach Community Development Manager to eventually end up in the hands of the school administrator. 

In early 2011 library shelving, computer lab and solar electrification are still needed however the school is fully functional.  Funds continue to be needed to complete the project.  Below are pictures of the school.
